After treatment had made the voices quieter, Tria returned once on a weekend. He wanted evidence he could inspect when he was rested and clear-headed. He entered through a restroom window, visited the unlocked rooftop, and then went to his old classroom.
A new drawing hung where My Home's Window had been. It showed the same bars, the same opposite wall and the same small pieces of sky. The paper and pencil strokes were not his.
On the back, in faint pencil:
The date was three years ahead. Tria photographed both sides before putting the drawing back.
The computer room cache was modified on the same day. The photograph remained unchanged at his next clinical appointment.
