An old hard drive contained a scan of Tria's original drawing. The signature read "Tria. 2001." In the shadows between the bars, faint pencil marks formed one sentence:
Your shoelace is untied.
Years after that, Tria opened the site once more. The counter read 0013427. The last update was that day.
Before he shut the computer down, the page told him his shoelace was untied. He was wearing slippers.
